Grief & Loss
In June 2020, I lost my husband, Gary, suddenly to a stroke. We had shared a long marriage filled with deep love and joy— and in an instant, it was gone. There was no time to prepare, no time to process. I was thrust into a world I didn’t recognize, and for a year, I lived in agony. The second year brought overwhelming sadness. And in the third, I began asking the hardest question: Who am I if I'm no longer part of this couple?
Now, several years later, I’m still on that journey—still discovering who I am and what truly matters to me as a single woman, not part of a partnership. It’s been deeply challenging. I’ve had to lean on myself like never before, and I’ve gratefully received support from friends, family, and professionals. But I’m doing it. And I’m doing it well.
This personal experience has deepened my work with clients navigating grief and loss—whether it’s the death of a partner, the end of a marriage, or the heartbreak of a broken relationship. I meet people where they are, and we walk this road together.
Approach
We meet weekly. We talk about how to do life alone. We talk about standards, boundaries, self-worth. I listen, I empathize, I validate—and I gently encourage steps toward healing. I help clients rediscover the parts of themselves they may have set aside for years, even since childhood. And when they're ready, I help them take those first brave steps back into the world—back into joy, back into connection, back into love.
It’s an honor to support this kind of transformation. And I don’t just guide the journey—I walk it with them.
